On 27th February, Domus de Maria hosted the first workshop with key local actors to co-develop stewardship agreements for the protection of the territory.

The event, organized by SUSDEF and MEDSEA and facilitated by Marta and Vania, brought together a diverse group of participants: citizens, civil service volunteers, local associations, educators, fishermen, beach operators, local institutions, and businesses.

Building on the points raised during the introductory meeting in January, the discussion focused on the importance of preserving the natural integrity of the coastline, promoting actions for beach litter management, and safeguarding the dune system and wetlands.

This participatory process will continue in the coming months to shape the stewardship strategy together with the local community.
