





Second educational workshop for elementary school children was held 14.4. 2025. in Neum – only city in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Adriatic Coast.
City of Nem is, also, associated partner in COASTRUST project.
Workshop began with short educational movie on topics like: protection of environment and nature, recycling, reusable bags, bottles and branch containers and water saving.
The concept of change was introduced through body movement, illustrating how various elements of the environment: water, nature, people and climate are in constant flow.
Due to the fact that the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton was hit by severe floods at the end of last year, this topic was also discussed.
The importance of alternative transportation methods – walking, biking, as way of reducing air pollution was emphasized.
Fun and interactive sorting games helped children learn about recycling and waste management, reinforcing the importance of responsible disposal of materials.
A dice game helped familiarize children with essential animals found in the Adriatic Sea and its coast, highlighting the diversity of marine life.
The whole session reinforced the fact that every action any person take affects our planet, food, water, air, animals and plants.
Children created bracelets incorporating elements of flora and fauna, blending creativity with environmental education.
At the end participants agreed that workshop was wonderful engaging opportunity to focus on environmental awareness and sustainability.
