Event is organized as part of the 2026 EU Projects Open Days, implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds.

Special emphasis was placed on the role of the local community and youth education in nature protection, as well as on the need to preserve sensitive ecosystems affected by climate change and human activities.

Following the presentation of the projects and the natural features of the special ornithological-ichthyological reserve of the Neretva Estuary, a clean-up action of the area took place. During the activity, large amounts of waste were collected, most of which consisted of plastic, glass, discarded cigarettes and vehicle parts.
