The Department of Architecture at Roma Tre University is organising an event on 3 November 2026 in Sabaudia to present the local results of the Interreg Euro-MED COASTRUST project. Taking place during the project’s final stages, the event forms part of Activity 2.3, “Taking responsibility for our shared coasts. Presentation of local results”.
The event will bring together institutions, associations and local communities to share the work carried out in the Agro Pontino area to support the stewardship of its coastal and marine natural heritage, highlighting the contribution of local stakeholders.
The main outcomes presented will include the jointly developed coastal stewardship strategy, two stewardship actions implemented by local associations, the two stewardship agreements resulting from those actions, and the Stewardship Pact.
Beyond presenting these achievements, the event will encourage discussion on the future of environmental stewardship activities. Particular attention will be given to ensuring their long-term continuity and sustainability, while maintaining and strengthening the active involvement of local communities and institutions in protecting the coastal natural heritage of the Province of Latina.
COASTRUST brings together organisations from Italy, Croatia, Greece, Malta, Spain, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina to promote shared environmental governance and more sustainable management of coastal and marine natural resources across the Mediterranean. The Agro Pontino experience contributes to this work through stewardship tools and initiatives developed in cooperation with local stakeholders.
